Hello

In Abu Dhabi Marcio Local won the crowd over with their Brazilian Sambas. In Caceras Bibi Tanga got the Spanish festival goers grooving. Tantalizing aromas from recipes as diverse as the music drifted over crowds at the Taste The World stages.

Adults and children alike discovered fascinating crafts, explored new practices and found unexpected ways to play in workshop encounters across the festival sites. If you were there you’ll have your own highlights from these two amazing WOMAD festivals. Thanks to everyone who made them WOMAD festivals to savour.

Charlton Park

Back at base preparations for WOMAD Charlton Park are in full swing. We’ve just published more details of the performances with stage by stage, day by day and timetable views now available. This afternoon’s most intriguing addition to the festival are the ‘Tonefloat’ milkmen who will be performing musical extravaganzas with their suspended bottles around the festival site. Further announcements are still to come yet it’s already difficult to decide what you’ll see and what you’ll have to miss.

If you’ve only got a day to spare, you don’t have to miss the whole festival. Day tickets will be on sale from June 1st so you can still get a taste of the world at Charlton Park.
